Do not annoy ! – Social media integration done rigth and wrong

I like how the Spotify community message function allows a short message to say what inspired the person to share the track – much better than than the automated message along the lines of “I am listening to x track” (these kind of messages get annoying very quickly).

Streetbank.com is a good service that have got integration with social media wrong, they encouage people to link their account to Facebook so they “whenever you add an item to Streetbank it will automatically get posted on your Facebook Wall” – a safe way to annoy people, the service is neighbourhood focused so posting a message that is releavant only for a tiny, if any, Facebook friends is just plain wrong – a geo tagged tweet could maybe be justified – it would allow people searching for tweets nearby to see it.
