Privacy a competitive advantage?

The internet has led to a list of privacy issues and Facebook has really brought privacy issues to the attention of millions of people (Facebook is far from the only internet based service with privacy issues but just the most high profile site).

It surprises me so few web site use good privacy options and policies as a competitive advantage, it would be obvious to do seen in the light of the increasing concerns about privacy from million of people.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook clearly doesn’t see good privacy as a competitive advance judged by the latest changes and his statement about Public is the New “Social Norm”  It even seen as a u-turn compared to some of the earlier statements about privacy on Facebook.
